The moment you come near the tank they (I have two females in a tank and another male in another tank) know you are going to feed them and they come near the surface. I searched for something new and nutritious for her. Our Betta fish loves these Hikari Betta Bio-Gold Pellets and always looks forward to a feeding time! But I think he would keep eating until he exploded! I would recommend 2 pre-soaked(atleast 1 minute) hikari bio-gold pellet for each serve. Highly recommend, it'll save your Betta!
So if she is not very hungry one day, I can scoop out what she doesn't eat so it does not affect the quality of the water. These are well made pellets. They’re a good small size too and a little can go a long way so be careful not to overfeed. They have in mind that you fold it back, slip tab into slot, snip a part of the vacuum plastic tube, and can then tip out what you need before standing it up on the folded card Much too awkward to get the desired amount out that way.
