Due to the increased mobility the manufactuers have to scale back the WiFi radius of these devices, but that normally isn't a problem for a mobile traveler that these devices are best suited for. I have had a jetpack 6620L for about 10 months. I'm not too savvy on the consumer plans and options that are available.
I let a freind use it it worked fine when he brought it back it wouldn't charge or turn on tryed the reset button, Kev48us, we are disheartened to learn that your Jetpack device is no longer responsive.
I really appreciate it and again, I am sorry that I didn't see your reply and answer sooner. I'm also wondering if it is my actual Jetpack device. We have tried satellite and it is not good. Please, also remove the battery for 30 seconds and replace it back into its housing and put the cover back on. This has all been very helpful and I do appreciate all of the help and information! When troubleshooting its important to place the Jetpack directly next to the personal device you are concerned about to minimize distance and interference. When the machine is woken up it will try to pick up where it left off which can cause issues for Jetpacks. > It is very frustrating to be using one computer and then go to use the other and find that the jetpack won't connect unless i carry the jetpack between computers so that it is right on top of the one I need to be using. I will look into those. Hopefully you find a solution that best fits your needs. Connecting to the Verizon 6620L Wireless Hotspot Step 1: To power on the device, press and hold the Power Button until the Jetpack display lights up. Its also possible to rework your home network so that the Jetpack is more of a traditional modem and link it up to a normal home router. Can you tell me a Verizon device that would better meet my needs? Thank you! But during that time computer has lost internet connection. The home router would need to have a feature that allows it to connect as a wireless bridge for it to work. Are you aware of any physical damage that may have been done to the device? A Jetpack is not designed for continuous duty operation or to be connected to external power 24/7. > The jetpack is always on during the day. I used it over a year. After I see how this new placement works for the Jetpack, I am planning to call Verizon service and also see what they suggest. You may refer to the following link here on how to do this: http://spr.ly/6607Eva0U. When it stops broadcasting, I check on it and it usually has a message that it's fully charged and to unplug it. I need to physically move the jetpack so that it is right on top of whichever computer I am trying to connect and then it will connect. Happens when using with tablet also. I have the same problem with my 6620L.
