But the slate don’t attach they just lay across the bed frame so don’t sit properly and are constantly falling down which makes it very uncomfortable to sleep on!

After having incredible difficulty getting the brackets into the bedhead due to the rubberised lock paint painted onto the screws and having to visit the Ikea store to speak to the build technician and get a better screwdriver (because the Allen key nearly snapped), I finally got the bed heads on and the frame together to discover the four side panels are too short and the holes don't line up.
