Never again. The woman I talked with about my appt was very friendly and professional. I love this concept and absolutely love the fact that they are assisting families in need.- We need more places like this! The manager did call me one morning a few days after I left a message with him about my wife's experience. I had an old couch I needed to get rid of and didn't feel like dealing with scary people on Craigslist, so I asked some friends. Do good, they pick up, much better than trying to sell. But that's not how it happened so we had to arrange for a second day of pickup, several days later -  and I don't live close to my parent's home.

I had 2 old mattresses that I needed to dispose.

Also love that all the money goes to a good cause. It's not a bank with money so don't try and use their ATM. All of the quality furniture stores told me it would be anywhere from 4-8 weeks to get any couch to me. Warehouse: 7am-4pm

Highly recommend over Salvation Army of Houston furniture pickup/donation. All proceeds from the sale of furniture go to support the charitable work of the Houston Furniture Bank, Making Empty Houses Homes. And make sure your furniture is as disassembled as reasonable. It didn't seem to be too big of an issue with the guys that came to pick up.Both times they have been on time within that hour window and they've called 20-30 minutes beforehand to let me know and make sure I'll be home. I had read that there were people who recycles them but I found not find anyone in Montgomery County. I was looking for high quality furniture and good deals, and found both! Furniture Outlet for Houston Furniture Bank sells high quality furniture at discount prices in our showroom adjacent to the Houston Furniture Bank. Have been trying for weeks to contact through email, to donate several pieces of furniture in great shape. They won't take your bed apart. I love this concept and absolutely love the fact that they are assisting families in need.- We need more places like this! The Furniture Bank is a great resource but I have also used a place that will also pick up furniture for free. After reading the reviews, I decided I would rather donate here than elsewhere.

Houston, TX 77075 I loved that I could get a tax write off while helping people. I cannot recommend this place anymore. That said, I will be using the Salvation Army or Goodwill to donate my items. One word of caution - they do not take items with ANY pet hair so they would not take the sofa - even though I had used practically an entire lint roller on it! They have incredible measures for Covid, taking temperatures and having us sign in before entering the floor. Houston Furniture Bank provides essential furniture to families in transition, thanks to the support of our community.

Sure there were lots of trash service guys that would haul off to the dump for you but I preferred to get it recycled. Just tried to arrange a pick-up of a spare couch... Ditto what Hana K. said about the terrible customer service.

Houston Furniture Bank provides essential furniture to families in transition, thanks to the support of our community. It's a bank of furniture! One friend mentioned the Furniture Bank and I was like "huh??". Good stop and will send anyone I know who needs to dispose a mattress there. Why not. Here they tear them down, recycle up to 90% of the mattress and employ people, some being ex-convicts who are trying to do the right thing and work. Following Hurricane Harvey, Houston Furniture Bank has provided assistance to over 3,500 families affected by the storm.

Warehouse: 7am-4pm Client Services: 8am-1:45pm, (713) 842-9771 Just tried to arrange a pick-up of a spare couch... Ditto what Hana K. said about the terrible customer service.I said upfront to the first lady I spoke to on the phone, "I have a couch I would like to donate and wanted to know when the earliest available pickup might be."

We were overwhelmed by the experience and will definitely be returning. As my wife was reaching for her $5 to pay the guy, the guy continued to mutter about calling the police on her. The gentlemen who picked up the items were very professional and friendly, also.
