I was so excited to make this Hong Kong Style French Toast (法蘭西多士) for #FoodieExtravaganza this month! Of course, the perfect drink to wash it all down would be – what else – the popular Hong Kong beverage, yuan yang! Among plenty of dessert dishes typically eaten for breakfast — especially here in Hong Kong — French toast is on another level. Try this simple recipe! This is so simple and delicious. try it with peanut butter…..yummy. With the commonest ingredients and a toaster (or charcoal), you can easily whip up some toast and it doesn’t even take much time. LOL at the yuan yang part.

Can’t decide between tea or coffee? It’s best made with brioche or challah, but works well on regular sandwich bread, as well! For breakfast.

Try it if you ever feel evil and want to indulge! There’s Toast Box, Man Jia Le, and more recently, Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant, all with one thing in common – toast done Hong Kong style! This is certainly different, but it sounds so good! I made it using Texas toast and my family loved it. I think you are right about the “吐司”, although I do prefer “多士”! Yum! Maybe not quite as indulgent as the brioche, but then again, you probably shave off a ton of calories by using a slice of whole wheat bread instead of rich, buttery brioche.
