Didn't expect to enjoy the taste, quite a departure from the smooth, gentle sophistication of the aged examples of the marque, but enjoyable from the peaty heat on the first taste to the smooth sweetness as it goes down. This gives a whisky with exquisite campfire smokiness and toffee sweetness.

We recommend trying them both (responsibly), it’s difficult to pick a favourite out of the two. On the nose it's floral, with strong tropical fruits coming through but it lacked the advertised wine notes. Have a nice IPA then the whisky. Uninspiring, sweetish, smooth, light yet unpleasantly cloying - I really don't get it - no IPA beer / hop taste either. Smoke explosion, like a campfire of Highland peat Is it smoky, is it sweet?
I'm usually unimpressed by Glenfiddich but this is good for the money. Citrus fruits, lime and orange.

This dram is far more complex and rewarding than any other speymalt I've experienced.

I might even buy a bottle (if it is on special offer). An interesting idea that harmonizes sweet citrus with a dryness that is very enjoyable. Malt master Brian Kinsman has given some of the distillery's peated single malt a three-month finishing period in rum casks - but not just any old rum casks.

This is excellent. Both the Glenfiddich IPA Experiment and Project XX are now available from selected specialist whisky stores. It was fresh, fruity and full of citrus with a nice small touch of hops right at the end. Great! Try a good decent IPA from you local produced beer hall. Classic green fruit, deep baked apple sweetness, toasted marshmallow. I highly recommend this Scotch!
Palate: Like a Highland peat campfire, with oak notes and toffee. On the palette but I wouldn't say very smokey or peaty..Bit disappointed it doesn't come in a nice glenfiddich box.. Just the bottle as a collector I'd like it to have had its own box like the rest of the series so far, Mediocre if compared with Balvenie 14 Caribbean cask, This is an interesting whisky from Glenfiddich not like anything else I've had from them. Go to shop Benash Liquor Store. both citrussy and floral aroma's seem to walk hand in hand with lots of wood. Nose: An elegant harmony of fresh green apple, William’s pear and spring blossom. Bound to be a fascinating whisky for whisky and beer enthusiasts alike (and the cross-over of that Venn diagram, too). It was really nice, the MoM description does it quite well but I would like to add vanilla, honey and wet grass to the nose and some spicyness and alot of apple and pear to the palate.The finish is mid/long.
