I "carry" a BK9. In general, Gerber Strong Arm is more recommended because of the more solid blade quality. In a survival situation, I’ll have two knives…hopefully. I have a few, that I can use in a Survival situation. So, Gerber Strong Arm is certainly more rugged and durable. I think everyone should have other types of knives, like a thin blade for cleaning and skinning, and a general utility, which can be folding.
