Putting that aside, my view of this latest incarnation of Black Orchid is that it’s the best yet, although I say that as someone who’s never been able to muster much love for the original. Second try:I am able to see more colors and breaking away from unknown. I would recommend that you get a tester be for you buy as it might not be to everyone's taste.

Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum emphasizes the iconic sensuality of the original and its aphrodisiac effect of the black orchid with a new, potent seductive accords - ylang … If you were looking for Tom Ford to go way out on a limb, you may end up disappointed: this isn't M7. What could have been a dense and heavy composition instead is rendered as radiant and soaring. It’s sexy scent is good for a day at work and transitions to a night as the day goes by.

You’ve been warned. I rarely buy cookbooks these days, but I’m very happy with his. Nothing ventured…. violetnoir: I won’t be running to NM to test it, but I will when it finally arrives at my favorite Nordstrom location. I certainly liked it better than most other new releases.
I do like to reapply later in the evening as the scent does seem to fade some, but then just when I think I can't smell it, I get a hint of it from something that was sprayed earlier in the day or from the day before (like on my pillow).

I got this fragrance as a gift from a friend who knows that I admire Ford and loved basically everything he has done for Gucci and YSL. Well fortunately for my pocketbook, this scent did not agree with me at all. on the card it seemed to be very strong.
Theo Fennell's new one called Scent is sort of like Black Orchid – but cleaner and more feminine – it'll be an instant classic.. R, I'm yawning, and will wait until it finally gets to my favorite Nordstrom to test it. Vera Wang has a lovely holiday bottle out this year, this should send you to a picture at Nordstrom: Thank you… I will look for Vera Wang… Someone else suggested Jivago 24k by Jivago. Yet, as I have been wearing the Eau de Parfum almost every day for the past week, I found myself wishing that its initial effervescent and daring impression was preserved rather than flattened by the woods and vanilla. I like seriously femme scents for cooler weather and this sounds like it fits the bill.
I don't know, maybe my skin is a topnote killer. It’s a subtle warm but sweet scent. I can see what you mean about similarity with Double Black. have a double meaning…!

VdF is more suitable for daytime and/or warmer weather.
It’s definitely sugary (reminded me of fruit salad-flavoured penny chews towards the end), and for me, it is pure class all the way. With that in mind, I wonder if the likes of this new Tom Ford composition, as well as the Byredo Night Veils collection and perhaps even the ‘parfum’ versions of Terre D’Hermes and Voyage D’Hermes are worthy of the tag in the same way as, say, the classic Guerlain extraits. The florals are alluring, the woods masculine and the vanilla creamy and delicious. I have also layered it with JM Blue Agava, (guess I can’t get enuf of a good thing) and loved the combination as well.
Don't know how long Black Orchid is exclusive to Neimans, but sure it will be Nordstrom eventually. Your Diorella description is beautiful – it sounds luscious.
