The ASU School of Art is a boundary-breaking school, and prepares its students for the creative and critical challenges of the global 21st century through more than a dozen areas of study. With themes that range from truth, to fiction, to traumatic fears and warm welcomes, "Vagary" seeks to remind us that even works that seem fundamentally different share common purpose: to be sought out and viewed by travelers who feel it speaks to them. In the drawing and painting programs, students are given the opportunity to explore a variety of media, study with a large faculty, exhibit their work and take advantage of our wonderful studio spaces. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The duration of a time and place on earth is then recorded and juxtaposed with navigation of space in the night sky. Through the creation of different artistic ‘biomes,’ the artists invite viewers to take their own wandering journey through the exhibition, immersing themselves in each as they go along. This research activity spans more than 100 academic programs and allied research centers in five academic schools: art; arts, media and engineering; film, dance and theatre; design; and music.
