The Remastered version of the game has also introduced some very strange, and truly bad, graphical issues. Blending in with crowds and using open-world elements to hide from pursuers suddenly became the norm.
Instead, Brotherhood focuses on the violent grudge between Ezio and Cesare, who – while a megalomaniacal prick – doesn’t really do too many horrible things onscreen, apart from tearing up Monteriggioni. Add to that a compelling plot and interesting protagonist, great visuals and voice work, and enjoyable ship battles and assassination techniques, and the result is that series' fans will be well served here.

The lack of shadows, and what seems to be a complete loss of detail in facial expressions, results in plastic-like uncanny valley aesthetics that I certainly did not sign up for.
