Ubisoft is putting a pretty hard kibosh on custom quests, aka Stories, in AC Odyssey, used for farming XP. You don't get much XP by simply eliminating enemies. Killing Random Enemies Doesn't Grant Much XP. This is somewhat hampered by his belief that the golden age of gaming ended with the PlayStation One, but he doesn't let that stop him. Now, Imma put my cynic hat on, and say that the only reason that Ubisoft is doing this is because XP farming means less XP boosters sold. Which, really, Ubisoft should have seen coming. I found myself getting too much XP, money and materials simply by following the main story, getting every optional quest in the area (mercenary jobs included) and exploring undiscovered locations on my way to the quest objectives. I’ve been using conquest battles and any repeatable quests as I run into them.
